ORGANIZING AUTHORITY: Portland Yacht Club
1. RULES: The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Laser Class Rules (ILCA), this Notice of Race (NOR), the Sailing Instructions (SI) as issued, and any amendments.
2. CLASS: Laser Standard, Laser Radial. No measurements will be taken. If five or more Laser Radial rigs register, a separate start will be given.
3. ELIGIBILITY: open to all ages, sails do not need to be class legal, advertising is allowed
4. SCHEDULE:
Registration 9:00-10:00
Skipper’s Meeting 10:15
First Warning 11:30
Last Warning No later than 16:30
Awards and Celebratory Beverages
5. ENTRY: Entries and Registration will be conducted on the Junior Sailing Program Deck at PYC. The entry fee of $30 can be paid in cash or by check day of the regatta or online at CLICK HERE. Entry includes post race snacks and a variety of beverages appropriate for the spirit of the day.
6. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Available at registration and on http://cascobaylaserfleet.blogspot.com/
7. SCORING: Low Point Scoring as per RRS Appendix A. There will be one discard after 5
completed races.
8. REGATTA AREA:
Rigging: field behind PYC
Launch: at PYC ramp
Racing: waters of Clapboard Island
9. COURSES: Windward-leeward of varying length and number of legs
